Vegetable Biryani Recipe

Vegetable Biryani are for those who are vegetarians and love to eat Biryani. The taste remains same as that of Biryani as we add similar masala to Veg Biryani and cooking time also very less as vegetables take less time for cooking. Below is the recipe to cook vegetable biriyani for two members.


  • Ghee / Cooking oil 4 table spoon
  • 2 Onion Chopped
  • 1 table Spoon Ginger Garlic Paste
  • 2 Green Chilies
  • 3 Tomatoes Sliced
  • Coriander Leaves 3-4 branches
  • Mint leaves 2-3 Branches
  • 1/2 Spoon Chili powder
  • 1/2 Spoon Coriander Powder
  • 1/2 Cup Curd
  • 1 full cup cut vegetables (Carrot/ Green Peas/ Beans/ Potato)
  • 1/2 KG Rice (Bullet / Basmati / Jeera Samba)
  • Water  Half Cup

  1. Clean the rice using water and leave for soaking in water for 10 minutes
  2. Take cooking vessel heat in to medium flame Add Oil
  3. After 1 minute add Chopped Onion mix well until onion turns golden brown
  4. Add Ginger Garlic Paste, Coriander Leaves, Mint Leaves saute well
  5. Add tomatoes, chili powder, green chilies and coriander powder mix well
  6. After 1 minute add curd, water, salt and vegetables cook it for 5 minutes
  7. Now add rice to above and cool until 10 minutes, Vegetable Biryani is ready
  8. Garnish it with Chopped Onion, Cut Lemon and Serve Hot !!!
