Mutton Gravy Recipe | Mutton Curry Recipe


Mutton Gravy is Indian Recipe with added spices to the gravy and adding very awesome taste to Mutton. Mutton Gravy can be had with Roti / Plain Rice / Can be used as Side dish. Here is Mutton Gravy Recipe with the loaded of spices added to it.


  • Half KG Mutton with Mutton Fat (Fat can be asked at store while buying mutton)
  • 4 table spoon on Ginger Garlic Paste (Home Made)
  • Finely Chopped Handful of Coriander Leaves
  • 2 Table spoon of Coriander Powder
  • 2 Table spoon of Chili Powder
  • Half Table Spoon of Turmeric Powder
  • Finely Chopped 2 Onions
  • Finely Chopped 2 Tomatoes
  • Half table spoon of Pepper Powder
  • Salt 1 Table Spoon
  • 3/4 Liter Water
  • 2 Dalchini
  • 4-5 Cloves(Laung)
  • 3-4 Uncut Green Chilies

  1. Grind Ginger, Garlic, Onions, Pepper Powder and Coriander Leaves until the mixture becomes smooth, take this out into bowl
  2. Grind Tomatoes until the mixture becomes paste take this in to another bowl
  3. Clean mutton in to running water and drain the excessive water.
  4. Add Mutton in to 5 lite pressure cooker, Water, Add both pastes, Green Chili, Chili Powder, Coriander Powder, Turmeric Powder all the above mentioned Ingredients.
  5. Cook the above Mutton Mixture until 18-20 Whistle. Mutton Fat adds oil to the Gravy, if there is no mutton fat then need to add four table spoon of oil instead.
  6. If Presure Cooker is not used then we may need to cook it for 1 hour.
  7. Once done take out the Mutton Gravy into clean serving bowl and serve hot.
