Sugar Batasha Recipe, Sugar Candy

Sugar Batasha is hard candy made out of pure sugar by heating the sugar to form the caramel and then cooling it and molding in to shape. Sugar Batasha is made during Indian festivals like Diwali, Christmas and New Year. Below is the recipe to make Sugar Batasha


Ingredients 

  • Sugar 1 cup
  • Water Half Cup
  • Clarified Butter / Ghee 4 table spoon 
  • Milk 3 table spoon
  • Steel Molding Plate (Any Type) / Idli Stand

Instructions

  1. Take molded plates soak ghee in to the molded plates you can try with normal plane plates as well
  2. Heat water and sugar in to low flame until the sugar dissolves completely
  3. Add milk and continue heating the mixture until it forms paste type liquid
  4. Pour the thick sugar caramel paste in to molded plates and let them for cooling
  5. When cooled remove the Sugar Batasha and store it into dry bottle
