Cauliflower Wontons Veg Recipe

 

Wontons is a snacks recipe and some times can be helpful as serving as meal. Their making is similar to that of Indian Samosas but there is major difference in folding and their structure. Below is the recipe to make 15-20 crispy cauliflower and potato wontons for vegetarian lovers.

Ingredients for Filling

  •     3 table spoon cooking oil
  •     2 table spoon ginger garlic paste
  •     2 Onions finely chopped
  •     2 green chilies
  •     Half table spoon salt
  •     Water Half Cup
  •     Cauli flower (Cleaned and cut into pieces) Half Cup
  •     Potatoes (Cleaned and cut into pieces) Half Cup


Ingredients for Wonton

  •     All purpose flour (2 cups)
  •     2 table spoon cooking oil
  •     Water half cup


Ingredients for Deep Frying

  •    Frying pan
  •    1 liter cooking oil

Instructions for Wontons Filling

  1. Take cooking bowl add oil, ginger garlic paste, onion, chilies and fry until onion becomes golden brown
  2. Add chopped cauli flower, chopped potato and salt over it, wait until they release water.
  3. Add half cup of water, chilli powder and coriander powder and mix well
  4. Cook it for 3-4 minutes until cauli flower becomes soft
  5. Wait for it to cool for 30 minutes and remove the excess water from the filling


Instructions for Prepare Wonton 

  1. Take 2 cups of all purpose flour into Atta kneading bowl, add pinch of salt mix well
  2. Add two table spoon of oil and knead until smooth by adding smaller ammounts of water
  3. Knead until the flour becomes smooth dough leave it for 2-3 hours
  4. Cut into smaller dough into smaller pieces and roll them as ball using hand
  5. Use roti maker to prepare Wonton and cut it into square using knifes


Instruction for Deep Frying Wontons

  1. Take the wonton square add three spoons of filling in middle of wonton
  2. Fold the wonton in to boat shaped or samosa shaped or any of your desired square type
  3. Heat the cooking oil and add the prepared wontons to hot oil when heated
  4. Deep fry Wonton in the Oil until the Wonton turns light brown, Cook similarly for other Wontons
