rmsysconn - Remove or Reset Power System connection from HMC using command line

rmsysconn is the Hardware Management Console command to remove or reset the Power System connected to HMC. Remove or Reset the Power System / Frame / Baseboard Management Controller (BMC) / Rediscover the DHCP based Power System connections to HMC.




Remove Power System connected to HMC
rmsysconn -m system1 -o remove
         
Remove Frame connected to HMC
rmsysconn -e frame1 o remove

Remove Power System connected to HMC using FSP ip address(9.x.x.x)
rmsysconn --ip 9.x.x.x -o remove
         
Remove Frame connected to HMC using Frame ip address(9.y.y.y)
rmsysconn --ip 9.y.y.y o remove

Reset Power System connected to HMC
rmsysconn -m system1 -o reset
         
Reset Frame connected to HMC
rmsysconn -e frame1 o reset

Reset Power System connected to HMC using FSP ip address(9.x.x.x)
rmsysconn --ip 9.x.x.x -o reset
         
Reset Frame connected to HMC using Frame ip address(9.y.y.y)
rmsysconn --ip 9.y.y.y o reset

Rediscover the DHCP based Power System / Frame using ip address (10.z.z.z)
rmsysconn -o rediscover --ip 10.z.z.z

With this we can alter the connection between Power System and Hardware Management Console. We should be cautious about the RMC operations like DLPAR, LPM, LKU and Simplified Remote Restart while running rmsysconn it may cause the RMC operations to fails.
