lssyscfg - List Power System Resource Configuration

lssyscfg is a hardware management command to list out the configurations of six resources. the six resources include Power System, Power System profile, Logical Partition, Logical Partition profile, Frame and Cage.



Power System Configuration

Power System Configuration includes System Name, Model, Serial Number, FSP ip address, System State, System Migration Capable, System SRR Capable are some of the important parameters.

For detailed list of configuration we can refer below table

To list out some of the configurations of Power System like name, model number, serial number, state, LPM capable, Simplified Remote Restart Capable.

lssyscfg -r sys -m system_name -Fname:type_model:serial_num:state:active_lpar_mobility_capable:lpar_remote_restart_capable

Power System Profile Configuration

Power System Profile Configuration includes Profile name, list of VIOS/LPAR present, unique id of LPAR's and LPAR profiles names including vios.

Here are the list of configuration system profile has system name,lpar_names,lpar_ids,profile_names

lssyscfg -r sysprof -m system_name -Fname:lpar_names:lpar_ids:profile_names

Logical Partition (LPAR) Configuration

Logical Partition Configuration includes LPAR Name, Unique ID, LPAR Type (VIOS/ AIX), default profile, remote restart status, processor info, are some of the important parameters.

Logical Partition Profile Configuration

Logical Partition Profile Configuration include LPAR Profile name, LPAR Name, Unique ID, LPAR Environment Type (VIOS/ AIX), default profile, Min-Max and desired Memory Information, Min-Max and desired processor info, Network Virtual Switch Information and Storage Mappings with WWPN Numbers are some of the important parameters.

Below is the command to list the Profile Name, LPAR Name, ID, Environment, Desired Memory, Desired Processor, Network Switch and Virtual SCSI adapter details

Cage and Frames

Cage is an enclosure that holds multiple Power System and its cabling units. Frame is similar to Cage where frames can have multiple cages.
List out the properties of frame using "lssyscfg -r frame" lssyscfg frame properties are name, frame_num, type_model, serial_num, ipaddr, curr_power_on_side and pend_power_on_side

To list out the cage details we should provide the frame name as "lssyscfg -r cage -e framename". lssyscfg cage properties include cage_num, contents, type_model_serial_num, loc_code and owner.
